Five things you might be wondering:
Why is it called Dessert Daily?
I believe that each day deserves something sweet. The days are long enough, right? Why not have a little treat to look forward to everyday? Especially once the kids are in bed for the night, you deserve a treat!
Do you really eat dessert everyday?
Most days I have at least some type of treat, but often times that might be just a few pieces of dark chocolate and not a full blown dessert. Usually we save larger treats for once or twice on the weekend and on special occasions. I also enjoy making healthy dessert options too. Dates are a great natural sweetener!
Do you have a favorite type of dessert?
I hate to show favoritism to anything, but yes, I have a favorite and it’s ice cream! Especially living in Arizona, it’s pretty much ice cream weather all year round. And by ice cream, I’m also including frozen yogurt with that. I love frozen yogurt. I actually had a frozen yogurt machine at our wedding! Right now, I’m really loving all the non-dairy ice cream alternatives on the market too. Shout out to Ben & Jerry’s PB & Cookies Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert. Is there anything those guys can’t do??
Are there any desserts you don’t like?
Yes. Brace yourselves, but I do not like cheesecake.<Gasp>. Never have. Something about cheese and dessert has never appealed to me. The only part I like about cheesecake is a good graham cracker crust. Other than that, I like most desserts!
Is there a seasonal dessert you look forward to?
Of course! And I’m not ashamed to admit, that I look forward to Shamrock Shake season every year! I don’t usually care for mint all that much, but something about the flavor of a Shamrock Shake I just adore. Good thing they’re only around for a limited time! Have you tried one with crushed Oreos in it? Amazing.
